Tue 180826 BROUGHT A LINUX MINT OS 2ND HAND 'LAPTOP' FROM OFF eBAY/COST: £40.00+. ----- Yesterday, the postman delivered a 2nd hand Linux Mint 22.3 15.6 inch XFCE 'laptop' computer...4 GB RAM/240 GB SSD...brought very cheaply £40.00 range from off eBay. Still very much in the process of setting things up. Anyway, everything was included:- - carefully, well packaged - carrying pouch case - the laptop machine itself - the charger leads - etc. Whenever you buy things 2nd hand; then, it's very important to 'test' it all...? eBay demands you leave 'feedback'...stating if you liked the item you brought/or, not...; or, indeed, if you wish to return it. This 'feedback' report either encourages/or, discourages other buyers in future to use that seller's eBay store. In this particular case, I feel really pleased that everything is working ok. ----- REASONS WHY I WENT AND BROUGHT IT. ----- REALLY MISSED NOT BEING ABLE TO USE MY OLD COMPUTER 'LAP...

Mon 170826 Mac OS/MacBook Pro 13 inch 8GB/1 TB

Recently, I went and purchased for £69.99 from off eBay store a 2nd hand: - MacBook Pro 13 inch 8GB/1TB ...it runs MacOS...which I'm still in the process of getting used to. NOTE: One of the keys doesn't work...no.P '8/*'. I have to get that fixed.../or else, plug in a USB Keyboard/USB Numbers pad. ----- Concerning Apple produces I've owned in the past... -  iPhone 5/iPhone 7 - iPad 4/iPad Air 2 ...but, none of these items are running the full MacOS.   ----- Only, now, do I have the opportunity to learn how MacOS works. NOTE: I have used Mac Desktop computers inside of college...; but, it wasn't for a very long sustained period of time...; so, that can only be regarded as doing a bit of purely temporary 'experimentation'. In order to get used to an OS...; then, quite honestly, I think, you have to live with using it at home...for a number of days/weeks/months/or, even, years. 6 months is generally speaking the minimum usage/and, experience period.

Fri 250725 Discovering Linux OS online...

Lately, I was very surprised to discover that it's possible to play around inside of your own web browser using multiple different operating systems which you can play around with using online...many of these OS are Linux related/but, some, too, are Windows based, instead. -  https://distrosea.com/ - https://www.onworks.net/os-distributions/ubuntu-based/free-ubuntu-online-version-20 -  https://labex.io/login
